Comet Switzerland Foundation is born: a new focal point for social integration, culture and education
The Comet Foundation Switzerland, headquartered in Lugano, is pleased to announce its official establishment on March 31, 2025 with the legal form of a charitable foundation. The foundation aims to be a significant player in the Swiss landscape of solidarity and cultural promotion.
Mission and areas of intervention The Foundation was established with the aim of supporting initiatives in the areas of culture and art, education, social integration, training and hospitality. It is committed to people, organizations and institutions working for the common good, with a focus on educational and inclusive pathways.
Leadership and governance At the helm of the Cometa Switzerland Foundation is President Alessandro Mele, an Italian citizen residing in Como, joined by Vice President Fabio Mario Francesco Stampanoni, from Capriasca, and board member Renato Chiesa, from Chiasso. The audit is entrusted to Revistudio SA, based in Lugano.
A bridge between cultures and territories, The Foundation is inspired by the values of welcome, beauty and responsibility, promoting projects that foster dialogue between cultures and generations. With Italian roots and an open eye to Switzerland and Europe, the Cometa Switzerland Foundation aims to be a point of reference for those who believe in education as a tool for social change.
