IDEA helvetia

The purpose of the foundation is to promote sustainable projects for the benefit of people, nature, and the environment, both in Switzerland and across Europe in the country markets of Helvetia Insurance. To fulfill the foundation's purpose, contributions are primarily made to support activities without a commercial, (religious-) missionary, or political background in the following areas: People, in particular projects: for the promotion of intellectual, mental, and physical abilities; for health prevention; for social or societal integration and the promotion of equal opportunities; for the promotion of children and young people, families, and the older generation; for the promotion of intergenerational activities and contributions to better mutual understanding. Nature and the environment, in particular projects for: the promotion of nature conservation and natural habitats, as well as raising awareness and promoting education in these areas; the preservation of protective forests and the promotion of sustainable forest management; the preservation and restoration of ecosystems, including their biological diversity (biodiversity); the maintenance of air, water, and soil. Raising people's awareness of nature and their behavior toward it; promoting the interconnectedness of ecologically valuable habitats. The foundation has, and does not pursue, a commercial purpose and does not seek profit.
