Mission
The purpose of the foundation is to support the poorest in their well-being, their freedom and independence and also to sustainably preserve and promote natural resources and livelihoods. With this in mind, the foundation uses its funds for the following purposes: a) for micro-loans to women in the Third World, b) for the promotion of ethical, ecological, social and non-GMO agricultural projects in the sense of a sustainable agricultural and food economy , namely without genetically modified seeds. In order to fulfill these purposes, the foundation can provide financial support services directly to affected persons or indirectly via recognized organizations/institutions that are active in the aforementioned purpose areas (in the area of micro-loans also to recognized investment funds). However, the foundation can also initiate and lead its own projects or promote projects from third parties, through financial support services or in cooperation with other recognized foundations or organizations/partners (private, corporations, research institutes, public sector) that are active in the aforementioned purpose areas. The foundation is active in Switzerland and internationally within the scope of its purpose and is politically neutral. The foundation can employ staff, hold, encumber, participate in, acquire and sell real estate (ownership, building and usage rights) and other assets and carry out all activities that are suitable for the achievement of the foundation's purpose. The foundation can create infrastructure and procure suitable facilities, in particular for the purpose of sustainable agriculture and food industry. It can rent or lease means of production to suitable persons or organizations.
