1. The foundation supports 60% medical research and 40% people with disabilities.

2.a) In the area of ​​medical research, the Board of Trustees will generally promote and support research projects that are not already funded by public money, research or national funds; Smaller but medically or scientifically significant research projects are therefore considered particularly worthy of funding.

b) To support and promote disabled people, the Board of Trustees makes donations to physically or mentally disabled people, primarily for the benefit of children and young people, to homes or institutions that are suitable for increasing the joy of life and quality of life of such people. The grants are usually made to individuals, families, homes, special schools and the like, and only for a specific purpose, if there are specific requests, to associations such as the Invalids' Association. The grants are made for measures that are necessary or sensible for social or medical reasons and are not covered by state or private insurance. Donations can also be made to parents, guardians or carers of disabled people to finance further professional training or necessary holiday stays; In addition, the training and further education of specialist staff to look after the disabled can be supported.
