Steinegg Stiftung

The purpose of the foundation is: - to support and promote charitable and cultural works, primarily—but not exclusively—in the Canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden, and, in justified cases, also in the Cantons of Appenzell Innerrhoden and St. Gallen, as well as in the rest of Switzerland and abroad; - to support organizations and events whose activities and success serve the public interest; - to contribute to maintaining a healthy economic structure in Eastern Switzerland, with a focus on the Canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden. To secure modern jobs, the foundation shall support Steinegg Aktiengesellschaft, Herisau, and its major subsidiaries. The foundation board shall decide on the nature and scope of the foundation's activities within the framework of the foundation charter and regulations. It will issue specific guidelines for this purpose. To achieve its purpose, the foundation may make one-time or recurring contributions of any kind. The foundation's activities are determined by the foundation board at its sole discretion, and there is no legal entitlement to their disbursement.
