Mission
The main purpose of the foundation is to support young people who are living in economic hardship or who are otherwise underprivileged, especially in developing and emerging countries. Another purpose of the foundation is the direct and indirect promotion of the common good in the broadest sense at home and abroad. It covers the following areas: Social and humanitarian issues: Combating poverty and hunger; Supply of drinking water, food and shelter; medical supplies. Culture: Promotion and support of culture, art, literature, music, humanities, film and monument preservation. Science: Promotion and support in a non-profit manner of activities in the fields of science, research and health care. Ecology: Promotion and support of institutions, people and projects, which are committed in a non-profit manner for the benefit of sustainable development while taking environmental protection into account. Education: Providing elementary training to young people as well as continuing education and introducing them to responsible behavior from a global perspective. Medicine: promoting public health and medical research and development. Animal welfare: promoting the welfare and protection of animals. The foundation does not pursue profit-making or self-help purposes.
