The Swiss Society for Endocrinology and Diabetology SGED-SSED is an FMH-recognized specialist society of doctors, researchers from the fields of endocrinology and diabetology as well as doctors and non-medical specialists with an interest in endocrinology, diabetology and metabolic disorders .

Our main tasks

• Ensuring further and advanced training in the field of endocrinology, diabetology and metabolic disorders - for the members as well as for the doctors providing basic care
• Promote research in these areas
• Safeguarding the professional interests of its members
• Information and statements to the medical profession, patients and the public about progress and problems in the field of endocrinology and diabetology as well as solutions to the medical and social problems in connection with diabetes mellitus and endocrine diseases.
• Cooperation with and representation in national and international organizations and the implementation of any existing programs.
