Mission
The Alsterdorf Evangelical Foundation is a legally independent organization within the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany. It offers help, education and training to sick, disabled and old people as well as children, young people and families. This is based on the gospel of Jesus Christ as witnessed in the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
The purpose of the foundation is to promote public health and public health care, also through hospitals, integration assistance, youth and elderly care, education, welfare, in particular the purposes of officially recognized associations of free welfare, selfless support people in need and the selfless promotion of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
The purposes of the statutes are realized by
- the maintenance of facilities and offers of medical assistance, integration assistance, child and youth welfare, family assistance and elderly care, education and upbringing. These primarily include outpatient, partially inpatient and inpatient facilities and offers in the named fields of work;
- the commitment of employees who are involved in the healing and alleviation of illnesses, in the care, support and education of people in need of help in the spirit of Christian charity;
- Offers of preaching and worship, pastoral care, as well as Christian education in accordance with the Evangelical-Lutheran understanding of faith and spirituality. The foundation uses suitable organizational forms to shape its diaconal profile;
- the development of support offers for other groups of people.
- the provision of services in the areas of finance and accounting, information technology, legal services, public relations, human resources and other services of the central administration as well as the provision of movable and immovable assets for tax-privileged cooperation institutions from the group of companies of the Alsterdorf Evangelical Foundation.
