Mission

The foundation aims to promote social change worldwide by supporting programs, initiatives, projects, and organizations—particularly those that use football or sport in general as a tool for social development—and to provide humanitarian aid by supporting the restoration and reconstruction of damaged or destroyed sports infrastructure around the globe. To achieve this, the foundation may, in addition to grants, draw upon various resources of the world football governing body, the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), including the involvement of prominent football figures. The foundation operates globally and is therefore international. The foundation is a non-profit organization and does not pursue any commercial objectives.
