Fondation Hans Wilsdorf

The foundation pursues the following goals: 1. To ensure the safeguarding, maintenance and profitability of the assets entrusted to it, in accordance with the instructions and wishes of the founder. 2. If available: a) to support social and philanthropic institutions having their headquarters in the canton of Geneva, as well as people residing in Geneva and experiencing financial difficulties; b) to support, in particular by granting scholarships, the training of young people (college students, students, apprentices) in Geneva training establishments (including education adapted to special needs); c) to support cultural institutions having their headquarters in the canton of Geneva, as well as cultural projects in Geneva; d) to support humanitarian institutions having their headquarters in the canton of Geneva; e) to contribute to the protection of animals and their ecosystems. As part of its mission, the foundation supports in particular: women in financial difficulty and residing in the canton of Geneva; institutions for the visually impaired residing in the canton of Geneva; the General Hospice and the Central Social Assistance Office, in Geneva; the Geneva Watchmaking School, through an annual grant for technical research and prizes; the Centre for Vocational Training in Applied Arts, in Geneva, and the HEAD, University of Art and Design, in Geneva, through an annual grant for prizes in watchmaking; the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of Geneva, to support students; the CSEM, Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology SA - Research and Development, in Neuchâtel, through an annual grant for special work and educational expenses in the watchmaking field. As part of its mission, the Foundation allocates all useful income and resources to the maintenance and normal development of its assets, and ensures in particular the control, homogeneity and development of the Rolex Group, in the spirit and traditions of the founder. The Foundation may carry out any operation directly or indirectly related to its purpose.
