The Jörg G. Bucherer Foundation was established in 2025 from the legacy of Jörg G. Bucherer. The promotion of the natural sciences is a fundamental concern of the Jörg G. Bucherer Foundation, as Dr. Urs Mühlebach, President of the Foundation Board, explains: "As a new foundation, we are very pleased to support the establishment of the ETH Swiss GeoLab and thus make a forward-looking contribution to strengthening Lucerne as a business and science location.
