Special Olympics Switzerland

The purpose of the foundation is to provide people with intellectual and multiple disabilities with sporting support tailored to their needs, with the aim of enabling them to participate in local, national and international Special Olympics events. It also aims to disseminate, organize and hold such events in Switzerland. The aim is to achieve greater acceptance in society for mentally and multiply disabled people. The foundation provides ideal and financial support to the Swiss organizers of Special Olympics programs in all four parts of the country. The foundation is accredited by Special Olympics International (SOl). The fulfillment of its tasks is based on the purpose and objectives of SOI and respects their general rules. She also participates in the SOI program development system and works with SOI and Special Olympics Europe / Euroasia. The foundation can expand its activities to other areas as long as these are in accordance with the foundation's purpose. The foundation has a charitable character. It has no economic objective.
