The foundation's purpose is to maintain or create non-profit social housing in the Basel area, both in existing and potentially newly constructed buildings. This social housing is aimed particularly at families, senior citizens, single parents, and refugees. The foundation aims to create space for an active, family-like community where people can share their lives, support one another, and find guidance. In particular, it promotes community self-help and intergenerational exchange through shared activities. The foundation may operate communal facilities such as a meditation and prayer room, a guest room, a multi-purpose room, and a volunteer-run meeting place (café). The foundation may also provide affordable vacation apartments. The foundation is a non-profit organization, pursues no commercial purposes, and does not seek to generate profit. The foundation operates on Christian principles. Its goal is to create space for a vibrant, Christian, and ecumenical community. To achieve its purpose, the foundation may in particular acquire land, conclude building rights, usufruct and lease agreements, construct buildings, enter into obligations, in particular take out loans and mortgages and accept donations.
