Mission

The purpose of the foundation is to provide financial support to four families who are in financial distress through no fault of their own (spouses living together with at least one minor or a child in education) of Swiss nationality and residing in the canton of Basel-Stadt. The four families are named annually by the Board of Trustees. The support should not simply lead to a reduction in the cantonal or federal social contributions, but rather apply where social contributions are not possible or not possible to the required extent or are not claimed at all.
