Mission
The Software AG Foundation supports charitable associations, companies and initiatives for defined projects in the areas of upbringing and education, child and youth welfare, assistance for the disabled, elderly care and nature conservation. At the same time, she is involved in promoting science in the areas of biodynamic research, complementary medicine/anthroposophic medicine and pedagogy with a focus on teacher training for reform schools.
Upbringing and education - Free schools, Waldorf schools and kindergartens are supported.
Help for the Disabled - Here, for example, flat shares for disabled children and young people are sponsored.
Elderly care - Thanks to the foundation, senior citizens' facilities with alternative concepts receive financial support.
Nature aid - It includes support for organic farms and projects for more humane animal husbandry.
This charitable foundation has existed since 1992. Its assets consist of Software AG shares owned by founder Peter M. Schnell. The reason for founding it was to incentivize anthroposophically oriented research and to assume responsibility towards society
