Mission

COMÚN is a non-profit federal foundation, established in December 2021 by the married couple Veronika and Sebastian Bohrn Mena. It sees itself as a capital base for social progress. By providing social, cultural, and economic capital, it aims to promote ecological, social, and democratic change. COMÚN is modeled on community foundations and implements its own projects and initiatives related to its core themes, while also supporting civic activities. The foundation operates independently of all political parties, interest groups, and corporations.

  • Promoting environmental, nature, climate, species, and animal protection;

  • Promoting public education;

  • Promoting education and vocational training;

  • Promoting fundamental and human rights;

  • Promoting development cooperation in developing countries; and
