WWF's mission: We want to stop the global destruction of nature and create a future in which people and nature live in harmony. As a science-based and independent organization, WWF is committed to protecting and restoring the diversity of nature.

WWF Austria has been fighting for particularly vulnerable habitats and species in Austria since its founding in 1963. Because nature conservation knows no borders, WWF Austria also advocates for nature and species conservation internationally. And our work is paying off: We are celebrating significant successes both in Austria and around the globe! Every two years, WWF also publishes the Living Planet Report, which details the state of global wildlife populations.
