Mission
The purpose of the foundation is the non-commercial and charitable support of science and research, education, culture and information of the public about chocolate. The foundation is largely active in the Greater Zurich Area. The foundation supports the following projects, among others: a) Informing the public about the history and ecological, social, nutritional and health-related aspects of chocolate and its consumption. For this purpose, the foundation can in particular operate, finance / build or co-finance a chocolate museum, separately or together with the educational institution under no. c) below; b) Financing or co-financing of activities and grants in the field of professional training and further education within the chocolate industry (apprenticeship training, advanced technical examinations, training in food technology at universities of applied sciences and at the Federal Institute of Technology, etc.); c) Establishment of a separate training center for food sciences, which is to serve young scientists (food technologists, etc.) as a place for training and further education as well as a test site; d) Financing or co-financing of research projects in the field of cocoa / chocolate, such as combating cocoa diseases, ensuring sustainable cocoa production.
